Uptake of the human papillomavirus-vaccination within the free-of-charge childhood vaccination programme in Denmark

► We used register data to calculate uptake of routine HPV-vaccination in Denmark. ► Demographic predictors for uptake were similar to those for other vaccinations. ► Overall uptake and uptake in demographic subgroups were relatively high. ► The results give little reason for major concern about specifically sensitive barriers towards this vaccination in Denmark. ► Population groups with reduced uptake should be targeted for future vaccination information.
