The recombinant globular head domain of the measles virus hemagglutinin protein as a subunit vaccine against measles

► The antigen was purified from the culture supernatant of transfected human cells. ► The purified recombinant protein is immunogenic in mice after two injections. ► Formulation of the antigen with adjuvants enhanced the humoral immune responses. ► Formulation of antigen with polyphosphazene induced a mixed Th1/Th2-type response. ► The antigen retained its immunogenicity after storage at elevated temperature.
