Towards licensing of CP7_E2alf as marker vaccine against classical swine fever-Duration of immunity

► Duration of immunity of marker vaccine candidate CP7_E2alf was assessed. ► Oral and intramuscular vaccination of pigs using GMP produced vaccine batches. ► Seroconversion in all intramuscularly and all but one orally vaccinated animals. ► Stable neutralizing antibody titres for at least 6 months after vaccination. ► Protection against lethal challenge with highly virulent CSFV was proven.
