Approche médico-légale de l'hématome sous-dural de la personne âgée. Étude préliminaire

Although subdural hematoma, severe post-traumatic pathology, occurs mainly in a traumatic context of accidental fall, we believe that inflicted trauma must be systematically sought, especially because the elderly may have risk factors of subdural hematoma (cerebral atrophy, anticoagulant…). Maybe then, a larger further study will demonstrate a relationship between physical abuse of elderly and subdural hematoma, relationship that has absolutely not appeared during this preliminary work.
