L'homme face aux violences sexuelles. Onze ans d'expérience au centre d'accueil en urgence des victimes d'agression (CAUVA) du CHU de Bordeaux
چکیده انگلیسی
Sexual abuse experienced by men represents a tiny percentage of sexual violence. Medical literature agrees to say that figures are underestimated mainly because of the fear of being judged for the victims. This study carried out at Bordeaux teaching hospital intents to bring epidemiological marks related to this type of violence. The victims are young men, without any connection to the offender. Facts mainly occur in public place. Forensic care and support is estimated between 1 and 7 days after the assault, which brings risks of infection issue, especially with the HIV transmission which is almost non-existent if the triple drug-therapy is administered to the victim within 48 hours following the assault. Victims often refuse psychological evaluation, nevertheless, the authors all agree on the heavy consequences of such offenses. Several solutions can be identified in order to improve care and support among the victims experiencing sexual offense such as staff training at the reception, a global evaluation, redaction of a forensic report, incentive to lodge a complaint. This should lead to the creation of reception, information, guidance, support and care centers for the victims and their family according to a multi-disciplinary approach. In parallel, information and awareness campaigns should be carried out among the population and especially gay people. At last, it may be relevant to conduct a national survey on that subject.
