Évolution des aspects juridiques de la pornographie infantile en France

The possession, distribution and production of child pornography are considered punishable acts in the French criminal code, as it is in several international treaties. Since 1994, a certain number of modifications were made to the French criminal code pertaining this subject. Various specific texts were created in 1994, whereas in the past, this offense was incriminated as obscenity through the press or through books. Today, child pornography is mainly distributed via Internet. The child pornographers use these pictures to stimulate their deviant fantasies. Utilizing the Internet, it is difficult to apprehend them. In this article, we present the legal developments in France on this subject.
