La prise en charge des victimes d'agression sexuelle au CAUVAÂ : une urgence psychologique

Bordeaux Hospital Center hosts a forensic medical unit that was purposely created to watch over victims of harassment. This unique structure named CAUVA,1 first allows social, psychological, and medical support, and ensure the best care for victims as fast as possible; second, the CNIL2 authorized the development of a specific software to build up an epidemiologic descriptive database used for improving the quality of better support. The following paper aims to present the trauma of harassment, what is accepted and what defines it, from a victim's point of view. It then emphasized the extent of psychological help, provided within this dedicated forensic medical center, to victims of violence and more precisely sexual harassment.
