Macrocyclic dithiomaleonitriles for an efficient PdCl2 coordination

Seven new macrocyclic dithioethers 1-7 were synthesized and their ability to coordinate PdCl2 was investigated by X-ray diffraction. In this series 5 and 6 posses a perfect S⋯S distance for exocyclic PdCl2 chelation.
