Synthesis of heterodinuclear ruthenium-manganese complex having μ-benzylidene ligand

► A new benzylidene-bridged heterodinuclear complex (Cy3P)(OC)2Ru(μ-CHPh)(μ-Cl)Mn(CO)3(PCy3) was synthesized by metathesis reaction of RuCl2(PCy3)2(CHPh) with Na+[Mn(CO)5]−. ► They are characterized by NMR and X-ray structure analysis. ► Highly congested structure hinders rotation of the phenyl substituent on the μ-carbene carbon, showing fluxionality in 1H NMR.
