Secondary interactions in the crystal structures of three 1,2,4,5-tetrakis(bromomethyl)-3,6-bis(2-alkoxy)benzenes

► X-ray structures of three 1,2,4,5-tetrakis(bromomethyl)benzene derivatives were determined. ► Hirshfeld fingerprint plots were used for efficient analysis of intermolecular contacts. ► Intermolecular packing is determined mostly by Br⋯Br and C-H⋯Br interactions. ► Z′ = 2 for one of the structures was rationalized using OpiX calculation. ► One of the structures displays a particularly short C-H⋯π contact.
