Effects of gamma irradiation on the single crystal ergosterol: An EPR study

► The irradiation effect on single crystal of ergosterol was determined firstly. ► Ergosterol, provitamin D2, have also antitumor properties is an important molecule. ► Two type of radical were produced in the host crystal by gamma irradiation. ► The EPR parameters of radicals slightly dependent on temperature. ► The EPR parameters of produced radicals were determined.
