Design of zigzag-like supramolecular 1D assemblies of polyfluorinated meta-arylenediamines and 18-crown-6

► 1D assemblies of 18-crown-6 and polyfluoro-meta-arylenediamines were designed. ► Alternating molecules of components are coordinated by synthon CareneNH⋯Ocrown. ► Mutual meta-location of amino groups provide a zigzag arrangement of components. ► A set of geometrical parameters and melting heats of co-crystals were determined. ► Specific melting heats decrease with an increase of the 1D assembly unit lengths.
