Two new three-dimensional zinc phosphites templated by piperazine: [H2pip][Zn3(HPO3)4(H2O)2] and K[H2pip]0.5[Zn3(HPO3)4]

Two new open-framework zinc phosphites, [H2pip][Zn3(HPO3)4(H2O)2] (1) and K[H2pip]0.5[Zn3(HPO3)4] (2), has been synthesized under solvothermal conditions. The 3D architecture of 1 possesses intersecting 8-membered channels with single organic piparazine template, and the 3D framework of 2 has 8- and 12-ring channelswith mixed inorganic K+ and organic piperazine templates.
