Novel substituted 1-iminoisoindoline derivatives: Synthesis, structure determination and antiproliferative activity

► Novel derivatives of isoindoline, were prepared. ► Structures of all compounds were determined by X-ray diffraction, one-and two-dimensional 1H and 13C NMR, IR, MS, and UV/Vis spectroscopy. ► The conformations of phenyl-substituted compounds differ from those with pyridine nuclei in solution. ► Diffrence between solution and solid state structure were noticed. ► All compounds showed antiproliferative activity in vitro with different effects on all cell lines.
