In the first part of this study a modelling approach was presented to predict recrystallisation textures of aluminium alloys based on orientation-dependent statistical information on the deformation substructure. In this second part the model is validated with experimental data for three different cold rolled and annealed aluminium alloys. Different starting textures, initial grain sizes, work hardening behaviour, and levels of cold deformation served as parameter variations to test the performance of the model. The very different recrystallisation textures owing to the effect of these parameters could be predicted in great detail. The impact of the deformation substructure, importance of different nucleation mechanisms, growth and microgrowth selection effects, and influence of stored deformation energy are discussed.
