High voltage insulation of bushing for HTS power equipment

► We have studied on the surface flashover characteristics of various insulating materials under AC and impulse voltages. ► GFRP and Teflon as the insulating material for HTS bushing should be much desirable. ► The surface flashover is most serious problem for the shed design in LN2 and operation of superconducting machines.
