Enhancement of bending strain tolerance and current carrying property of MgB2 based multifilamentary wires

► 4, 8 and 16 filamentary MgB2 wires with Fe barrier, Cu stabilizer and Ni sheath were prepared. ► Bending strain tolerance of annealed & bent wires increased with increase in number of filaments. ► Bent & annealed wires did not show much variation in critical current density from that of straight samples.
