Tunnel magnetoresistance of Cn−2X2 (n=60, 70; X=N, B) molecular bridge

► The formalism of Landauer based on the Non-equilibrium Green's function was applied. ► We calculate the spin-polarized coherent transport of the Cn−2X2(n=60 70; X=N, B). ► The doped atoms (N and B) reduce the TMR maximum values of fullerenes. ► The values shift to a higher voltage in the regime of low source-drain voltage. ► Applied gate voltage increases the TMR maximum values of C58X2.
