Optical injection processes in semiconductors

► We present a theoretical review of optical injection and coherent control. ► We consider full-Brillouin zone band structure providing wide frequency range for the calculations. ► The spin properties of injected carriers are presented. ► Currents normal to the surface are calculated for the first time.
