Electronic and magnetic properties of metal atom adsorption on SWNT

► A model about electron transfer in metal/SWNT system under external electric field was proposed. ► Some experimental data may be explained by the model. ► The magnetic properties vary with the change of external electric field. ► The possibility of fabricating storage devices was explored.
