We study the Goos-Hänchen (GH) effect in a Kretschmann configuration with hyperbolic metamaterial (HMM) of ZnGaO/ZnO multilayer. Calculation method in anisotropic waveguides is developed based on stationary method and physical mechanism of enhanced GH effect is analyzed. Simulation results show the GH shift peaks are significantly influenced by the dispersion of material and the refractive index of prism and substrate. As the GH shift in the proposed Kretschmann configuration is rather sensitive to waveguide parameters, we discuss the possible applications in wavelength de-multiplexing and tiny refractive index detection with high resolution.
