Hydrothermal synthesis and characterization of lead sulfide nanocubes through simple hydrothermal method in the presence of [bis(salicylate)lead(II)] as a new precursor

► PbS nanostructures were synthesized via simple hydrothermal solution route. ► The average particle size of the obtained products was 43 nm. ► The absorption edge of PbS nanostructures exhibit a blue-shift.
