Excitations in doped quantum dot insisted by discontinuous reversals of static electric field: Interplay between pulse and dopant site

► The excitation profile of quantum dot subject to discontinuously reversing static electric field has been investigated. ► The quantum dot is doped with a repulsive Gaussian impurity. ► The impurity location and the number of pulses delicately modulate the excitation profile. ► Maximization and minimization in the excitation rate have been observed.
