Formation and isochronal crystallization behavior of amorphous Al-based alloy containing nanoscale Al particles with an average size of about 10 nm, have been investigated in the present study. Three kinetics parameters: activation energy, Avrami exponent, and frequency factor, are obtained by employing the rearranged JMA equation under non-isothermal annealing conditions. The results indicate that the crystallization is a multiple step progress. Moreover, the first crystallization and the second crystallization might perform at about the same reaction rates and are governed by three-dimensional diffusion-controlled growth at decreasing nucleation rate and two-dimensional diffusion-controlled growth at decreasing nucleation rate.
