Growth of pentacene crystallinity control layers for high mobility organic field-effect transistors based on benzodithiophene-dimer films

► Pentacene crystallinity control layers (CCLs) for BDT-dimer FETs were investigated. ► Lowering the growth rate of pentacene CCLs results in the larger BDT-dimer grains. ► The channel resistance of the BDT-dimer FETs has been reduced.
