Analysis of vibrational behaviors of microtubules embedded within elastic medium by Pasternak model

► Microtubules are embedded in elastic medium of cytoplasm in living cells. ► An orthotropic-Pasternak model is developed to study vibrational behaviors of MTs. ► Flexural vibration of MTs is increased with stiffening of coupled elastic medium. ► Effect of foundation parameters H and G is more pronounced on radial vibrational mode. ► While torsional mode is affected lesser and the least longitudinal vibrational mode.
