Evaluation of electron transfer rates in peptide films: Simplified calculation and theory

The electrochemistry of thin film of two ferrocene–peptide conjugates is examined and the electron transfer kinetics is evaluated. The Tafel plots indicate a significant asymmetry for the oxidative and reductive step which is attributed to molecular movement of the peptide on the surface.
