The changes in pectin metabolism in flax infected with Fusarium

► At early state of Fusarium infection the expression of several enzymes of pectin catabolism are inhibited. ► The early changes after infection are characterized by increase in water soluble pectin level. ► Expression of formate dehydrogenase is strongly activated after Fusarium infection. ► There is a strong connection between pectins and a formate level.
