Hypoglycemic and anti-hyperglycemic study of Gynura procumbens leaf extracts

G. procumbens contains antidiabetic principles, most extracted in 25% ethanol. Interaction among active components appears to determine the antidiabetic efficacy, achieved likely by a metformin-like mechanism.
