The number of patients with transplanted organ and their life expectancy are increasing. These patients are frequently scheduled for general surgery out of transplantation. Management of anaesthesia does not have any specificity. However, before surgery, function of the transplanted organ, rejection or infection, and associated risk factors should be assessed. Knowledge of immunosuppressive therapeutics and physiological modifications of the transplanted organ are critical for a safe management of these patients.
