Diagnóstico de cavernoma cerebral durante el embarazo

Intracranial cavernous angiomas are vascular malformations that rarely present during pregnancy. The physiological state of pregnancy could aggravate the biological behavior of these lesions by enhancing growth, recurrent bleeding and the development of new lesions. Seizures are the most common clinical manifestation of cavernous malformation followed by focal neurological deficits, headache and acute hemorrhage. In pregnant women, these symptoms must be differentiated from preeclampsia-eclampsia. We present the case of a pregnant woman with a symptomatic de novo intracranial cavernous angioma diagnosed during pregnancy.
