MGA detection has been suggested to be an independent prognostic marker of the disease. Determination of MGA in the blood of patients with breast carcinoma, mainly in those without evidence of metastasis, could indicate a prognosis of disease progression and could contribute to the choice of treatment to prevent tumoral recurrence.
