The diameter and the material of the endocanal instruments do not influence the electronic WL. Canal conditions influence electronic WL. Hypochlorite is the irrigant which mostly reduces electronic WL. The acid solution often causes an electronic WL which is major than the real one. The other waterings influence less the electronic reading. Apex locator C is the less precise locator among the three tested ones but it shows the most number of measures (considered as a stable signal of achieved apex for at least 5 s). Apex locator A and B show a reliability which is not statistically different, apart only a few situations where apex locator B prevails.
