A comparative histopathological & bacteriological insight into periapical lesions: An analysis of 62 lesions from north Karnataka

Periapical granuloma is the most common periapical lesion, as against the widely held view that almost half of the periapical lesions are periapical cysts. Evidence of microbial colonization (bacteria) may not be a consistent finding in the histopathology of periapical lesions.
