Probiotics – A new way to maintain oral health

Probiotics are bacterial cultures or micro organisms which upon ingestion in certain numbers, exert health benefits and support a good and healthy microbial flora. This article reviews the use of probiotics in maintenance of oral health, both as a prophylactic and a therapeutic agent.
