Un cas d’oxycéphalie adulte non compliquée traité par lipomodelage

RésuméNous présentons un cas adulte féminin porteuse d’une oxycéphalie non diagnostiquée souvent rencontrée en Afrique du nord. La patiente souffrant de son handicap esthétique sans troubles fonctionnels patents désirait un traitement peu invasif au regard des ostéotomies crâniennes habituellement pratiquées dans ces cas. Nous avons pratiqué une correction du front fuyant à l’aide d’une greffe tissulaire. L’étage médiofacial a bénéficié d’une suspension réalisée sous endoscopie. Nous discutons des différents traitements qui ont pu être proposés dans ces cas, ce bon résultat morphologique à plus de trois ans prouve une nouvelle fois la plasticité de la lipostructure®.

SummaryWe present the case of a North African adult woman with a craniocephaly (oxycephaly) typical of the region. Her morphologic anomaly was never officially diagnosed. The patient suffered esthetic but no functional impairment from the oxycephaly. She had no headaches or visual impairment. She refused the standard treatment, cranial osteotomy (forehead reshaping), and desired a less-invasive procedure. We corrected the receding forehead with the help of a tissue (fat) transplant (lipostructure®). The midface was lifted in an endoscopic procedure using ISSE APTOS suspensions. Three years later, the result is fine and stable. Many techniques exist to correct this deformity; but the lipostructure® initiated by Coleman is a method to correct the oxycephaly with minimal trauma.
