Dans cet article, l’accent a été mis sur des innovations très marquantes comme l’invention des implants mammaires gonflables par H.-G. Arion ou la chirurgie du remodelage graisseux révolutionné par la liposuccion d’Y.-G. Illouz. Nous terminons par un domaine en pleine évolution : la chirurgie de l’excès cutané. Celle-ci a toujours été connue pour ses complications : nécroses, écoulements prolongés, cicatrices disgracieuses. Il était donc impératif d’innover car la demande est exponentielle comme la progression de l’obésité et des pertes de poids massives en découlant.
