Une main vous manque et… Indications thérapeutiques des agénésies et amputations de mains : plasties et prothèses versus allogreffes

RésuméLa modernité chirurgicale incline à penser que l’absence ou la perte d’une ou de deux mains annule toute capacité fonctionnelle ; l’homogreffe, dite allogreffe, est la plus actuelle des solutions thérapeutiques. Il n’en est rien, il y a une vie avec une agénésie ou après une amputation et bien d’autres solutions aussi efficaces et moins risquées : non traitée, la récupération spontanée de nouveaux fonctionnements est possible. D’autres traitements : une très ancienne opération, le procédé de Krukenberg, ou de nouvelles prothèses « bioniques ». Ce travail est un rappel d’évidences négligées ou oubliées.
