Les retentissements psychologiques de la greffe de moelle osseuse chez l'adolescent. À propos de deux situations extrêmes

Nowadays hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) is a curative treatment of many malignant hematological diseases. If, in these medicine services, the clinical practice of psychologists has started to identify recurring questions surrounding the psychological impacts of the transplant for the organ donor, what about the transplant recipient? Most of the work undertaken highlights two dimensions: the impact of psychological factors on a successful transplant and the problem of wavering identity markers in the organ recipient. From two clinical observations of adolescent suffering from leukemia, we aim to question the traumatogenic potential of the graft and emphasize the importance of taking into account the speech of adolescents before, during and after the transplantation. This often traumatic experience indeed requires some developmental psychological work on its impact on our physical shell and on the rebuilding of identity damaged by this narcissistic wound. We will show that the occurrence of the transplantation triggers back childhood vestiges written in the phantasmal memory running through our body. This will thus lead us to evidence the importance of a subjective logic in implementing the graft in the adolescent as well as the necessary measures needed to gather the unique and called for particulars of this intervention on the body.
