Douleurs thoraciques, dyspnée et crachats hémoptoïques chez un ancien toxicomane

A former drug abuser being treated for septic pulmonary embolism developed tricuspid endocarditis. Staphyloccocus aureus and Serratia marcescens were identified. Despite adapted systemic antibiotic therapy, the persistence of a supracenimetric vegetation and aggravation of renal immunological complications led to conservative surgery of the tricuspid valve. The outcome was favorable and the patient resumed normal activities.
