Lésions post-traumatiques de l'oreille moyenne chez l'enfant

Post-trauma middle ear lesions are uncommon in childhood and generally occur within the context of head trauma. The predominant clinical presentation includes otorrhagia or/and facial nerve palsy. The diagnosis can be suspected on the bases of the clinical and the audiometrial findings. High resolution CT scan is the gold standard, evaluating accurately the lesions in native acquisitions and in multiplanar rendering techniques. Our study's aim was to illustrate different imaging aspects of post-trauma middle-ear lesions in children, based on a series of 15 patients, comparing our results to the literature reports.
