Mathematics-related beliefs of Ecuadorian students of grades 8–10

• A factor analysis of the data of the MRBQ revealed 4 factors.
• Students’ beliefs show a clear trend toward neutrality.
• Older students do not have less positive beliefs than younger ones.
• No significant differences were found between boys and girls.
