Developing a validated instructional leadership profile of Turkish primary school principals

• We translated PIMRS into Turkish using a back translation method.
• We used various techniques to examine validity and reliability of the instrument.
• We developed a valid and reliable instrument instructional leadership in the Turkish education context.
• Turkish principals seemed less engaged in instructional leadership when compared to a multi-country data set of principals.
