Imaging diagnostic aspects in soft-tissue haematomas

We report two cases of soft-tissue haematomas mimicking sarcomas. In both patients there were no medical history of trauma and clinically and radiologically it may be impossible to distinguish the haematoma from an aggressive soft-tissue neoplasm. We discuss the diagnostic problems and review the literature related to such clinical situation. The possibility of a malignant tumour should be suspected, and biopsy should be performed if necessary.
