Rôle du pathologiste dans la prise en charge et le diagnostic d’une infection osseuse

RésuméLe diagnostic d’une infection osseuse est parfois difficile quand les signes cliniques et l’imagerie ne sont pas typiques. Dans ces situations, le rôle du pathologiste est important pour faire le diagnostic et permettre une bonne prise en charge thérapeutique. Les principaux aspects histopathologiques d’une infection osseuse avec ses complications sont décrits dans cet article, ainsi que l’implication du pathologiste dans cette pathologie.

The diagnosis of a bone infection is sometimes made difficult when clinical signs and imaging are not typical. In these cases, the role of a pathologist is important since he makes the diagnosis and improves the management of the infection. The main histopathological features of a bone infection and its complications, as well as the involvement of a pathologist in this pathology, are described in this article.
