Inactivation of LPS and RNase A on photocatalytically active surfaces

► Titanium dioxide coated surfaces are appropriate to eliminate different pathogenic bacteria. ► We examined whether these surfaces can inactivate bacterial-derived contaminations like LPS. ► We established highly sensitive immuno-based assays to quantify inactivation of LPS and RNase A. ► Our titanium dioxide coatings degrade RNase A and LPS even with increased concentration levels.
