Two-sex life table and predation rate of Cybocephalus flavocapitis Smith (Coleoptera: Cybocephalidae) reared on Aulacaspis yasumatsui Takagi (Hemiptera: Diaspididae), in Taiwan

► We elucidated the life table and predation rate of Cybocephalus flavocapitis Smith fed on Aulacaspis yasumatsui in Taiwan. ► We applied the age-stage, two-sex life table theory to calculate the population parameters. ► Cybocephalus flavocapitis is similar morphologically and has closely related biological attributes to Cybocephalus nipponicus. ► The r value of the predator C. flavocapitis is 0.05 d− 1, C. nipponicus (0.06 d− 1) and A. yasumatsui (0.1 d− 1). ► This study makes it possible to model the predator-prey interaction of C. flavocapitis on A. yasumatsui.
