Effects of low temperature phosphine fumigation on postharvest quality of white chrysanthemum 'Dabaiju'

► Phosphine fumigation accelerated senescence of white chrysanthemum 'Dabaiju'. ► Phosphine fumigation of 11 d at 1.52 mg L−1 decreased visual quality. ► The critical physiological levels for 'Dabaiju' being damaged were found out. ► Phosphine could be used for insect control on 'Dabaiju'.
