Discrimination of the age and tectonic setting for magmatic rocks along the Zagros thrust zone, northwest Iran, using the zircon U-Pb age and Sr-Nd isotopes

► The zircons U-Pb dating clarifies the 54 to 36 Ma for magmatic rocks in this zone. ► Sr-Nd isotope ratios show the magmatic activity was occurred over the subduction zone. ► These rocks were mixed with some mantle peridotite. ► Our data infer that this complex is some part of supra subduction zone ophiolite.
