New silver complexes with bioactive glycine and nicotinamide molecules - Characterization, DNA binding, antimicrobial and anticancer evaluation

Antimicrobial and anticancer activity of two novel silver complexes with glycine and nicotinamide was performed. The binding of both complexes to calf thymus DNA was investigated using electronic absorption, fluorescence and circular dichroism spectrophotometry. Topoisomerase I and II enzymatic activities were examined by electrophoresis.283
